Cell Phone Vs. Qur'an

I received the below in my email inbox. I'm not sure who the author is (not attributed) but I thought it was very motivational.

So, in the interest of "Fair Use", I share it with you:

CELL PHONE VS. QURAN

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Quran like we treat
our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Quran?

Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Quran being disconnected.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

P. S. DO WHAT YOU THINK GOD WOULD WANT YOU TO DO WITH THIS EMAIL. Trust in the Lord and "ASAP" (Always Say A Prayer)

As-salaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

Ta'barak'Allah. Such an excellent contrast imperative upon our Ummah to consider deeply. Al-Qur'an, when treated and devoted the proper attention owed and obligated upon us, as Believers, when confronted or impacted by any circumstance we should recall naturally and instantly an ayah or a Makki Surah of the Qur'an, instead we're most commonly reminded of a particular song, lyric or a scene of a film or sitcom replays in our head. Worse even, is most of us don't recognize the trouble with this. Subhan'Allah. May Allah Guide us, expose to us the errors in our ways that we might turn away from them and turn to Him wholeheartedly and purely as He, azza wa jall, has decreed. Ameen.

This post reminded me also of this beautiful lecture from Sheikh Salem al-Amry. If you don't mind me sharing:

Salaams Dear Irving:

Of course you may re-post it. I used the "Fair Use" option, lol, since there was no author attributed.
